Buyer Terms & Conditions

Terms specific to purchasing products on the Synthosy marketplace.

Version 2.0·Effective [DATE TO BE CONFIRMED]·Synthosy Ltd
These documents are templates pending solicitor review. Companies House number, ICO registration number, and registered address to be inserted prior to publication.
Statutory Consumer Rights Savings Clause: These Terms do not remove, restrict, or modify your statutory rights as a consumer. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 are preserved in full.

1. How Purchases Work

Synthosy provides the marketplace platform. The contract of sale is formed directly between you and the Seller when payment is confirmed. Synthosy is not a party to that contract.

Upon payment confirmation, you will receive a time-limited, cryptographically signed download link or access credentials. Download links expire after 48 hours and may be regenerated from your purchase history.

2. Digital Content — Cancellation Rights Waiver

Important Notice — Loss of Cancellation Right

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel. However, for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, you lose this right once delivery begins if you have given express prior consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that your cancellation right is thereby lost.

The checkout includes an unticked checkbox with the wording: "I request immediate access to this digital content. I understand and accept that I lose my 14-day right to cancel once delivery begins."

If you do not tick this box, delivery will not begin until the 14-day period has elapsed.

This waiver does not affect your rights where the digital content is defective, not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described.

3. Quality Standards — Consumer Rights Act 2015

Digital content sold by Sellers must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. Where digital content fails these standards, you are entitled to:

  • Repair or replacement — the Seller must repair or replace within a reasonable time
  • Price reduction or refund — if repair/replacement is impossible or has failed, up to 100% depending on severity

To exercise these rights, notify support@synthosy.com within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, or within 6 months for repair/replacement/partial refund rights.

4. Refund and Dispute Process

Step 1 — Contact Support

Email support@synthosy.com within 14 days of identifying the issue with your order reference and evidence.

Step 2 — Investigation

Synthosy will acknowledge within 2 business days and investigate within 5 business days, contacting the Seller where appropriate.

Step 3 — Resolution

We will offer repair, replacement, partial refund, or full refund as appropriate to your statutory rights.

Step 4 — Escalation

If unsatisfied, escalate to legal@synthosy.com. Response within 10 business days. If still unresolved, you may pursue the matter through the courts of England and Wales.

5. Chargebacks

Raising a chargeback without first contacting Synthosy support constitutes a breach of these Terms. Synthosy will provide transaction evidence to contest unjustified chargebacks. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 where applicable.

6. Licence to Use

Unless otherwise stated, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence. You must not resell, redistribute, sublicence, or use the product to create competing marketplace listings without express written permission from the Seller.

7. Reviews

Only verified purchasers may leave reviews. Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. Manipulation is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
